Anyway, this is easily resolved by running the outputted file from TunesKit through MP4Tool by EmmGunn which ignores the text track as corrupt and outputs a remuxed file (which I would use anyway to strip unwanted language audio and subtitle tracks). I think the issue is with TunesKit decrypting the tracks, but leaving the track that contains the cypher in the text track. ![]() It's a minor bug that you may never experience any problems with, but it's still there. Secondly, TunesKit has always had a container bug. It's also compatible with Windows, or could be run in a VM. So I run 10.12 on an older MacBook Pro to run TunesKit. Usually there's a cat and mouse game of updates and compatibility, but something in High Sierra has set them back more than before. First, it's not yet compatible with macOS 10.13.x High Sierra.
